About us

Your studies start with the right school.

Seu Visto Certo is an educational consulting company based in Southlake, Texas. We help students choose a school, apply, get the student visa and settle in, and we stay in touch after classes begin.

We are not a law firm. We take care of the school, the deadlines and the documents. The final decision always belongs to the school and the authorities.

Change schools

Already have an F-1 visa and want a different school, city or program? We handle the SEVIS transfer within the deadline and the enrollment at a partner school that fits your goal and your budget.

Talk about changing schools

Already in the U.S. on another visa?

If you entered with a tourist visa (B-1/B-2) and want to study, a change of status to student may be possible, depending on your dates. If you entered with ESTA (Visa Waiver), it is not: the path is the F-1 visa through a U.S. consulate. That is why we ask about your nationality and how you entered before any quote.

FAQ

Before you decide.

No. Intensive English programs at SEVP-certified schools start at the beginner level, and most schools give a placement test on the first day. When your profile allows it, we also show you university options, with the full cost, so you can compare.

It depends on the school, the program and the city. Intensive English at our partner schools costs roughly US$ 600 to US$ 1,400 every 4 weeks, depending on the city (prices published by the schools, 2026). After a free first conversation, we put together a real budget: tuition, government fees and our fee, each on its own line.

Start with your budget, the climate and the kind of city you want to live in. Rent and transportation usually weigh more than the school itself, and they change a lot from one city to another. In the same conversation we can compare schools in more than one city.

Many English schools open new classes every 4 weeks, and some start every Monday. Universities have set start dates, and many graduate programs start several times a year. If you are applying from your home country, the wait for a visa interview varies by country, so it is best to start early.

Yes. Your spouse and children under 21 can come as F-2 dependents, each with their own I-20 from the school. Children can attend public school. F-2 dependents cannot work in the U.S.

On campus, F-1 students can work up to 20 hours a week during the school term. Off campus, only with school authorization and in the cases the rules allow: CPT exists only when the internship is a required part of the program, and OPT comes after graduation, for up to 12 months, with an extension for STEM fields. No school should be chosen for a promise of work, and we do not recommend schools for that reason.

There are two paths. From your home country, you apply at a U.S. consulate with the school's I-20, the SEVIS fee, the DS-160 form and an interview. If you are already in the U.S. with a tourist visa, a change of status may be requested without leaving the country, as long as you are within the deadline and have the right documents. In both cases you need to be accepted by an SEVP-certified school and show that you can pay for your studies.

No. People who enter with the Visa Waiver Program (ESTA) cannot request a change of status or an extension of stay inside the U.S. The path is the F-1 visa through a U.S. consulate in your home country or country of residence. That is why we ask about your nationality and how you entered before any quote: so we never sell what your case does not allow.
